Sustainability is in focus

At Formex, both you as a visitor and exhibitor get much more than design, color and form. You also get new knowledge. Knowledge, which benefits you in your profession and in your personal life. For when you are re-painting, buying design classics, updating your product range and when you develop your business. Every new day at Formex has a new knowledge theme and during the second day of the fair sustainability is in focus.

When entering the fair, sustainability is actually the first thing you see in the form of trend guru Li Edelkoor's unique entrance exhibition, with a foundation built using recycled materials from Stockholmsmässan's previous fairs. The foundation is also designed from Open Source drawings so the carpenters won’t have to create any new prototypes or throw away designs each time something goes wrong.

If you want to learn even more about sustainability you should, besides a visit at the entrance exhibition, come to the fair on Wednesday 21 August. Then Karin Alkell and Ingrid Wirén from the Swedish Chemicals Agency will talk about the importance of knowing what type of chemicals the products you buy contains and tips on requirements you should set on suppliers.

On the same day, Frida Ramstedt, one of the Nordic region's largest interior blogger (Trendenser) and author of the bestseller - Handbook in interior design & styling - will hold a lecture where she turns our contemporary interior inspiration upside down by questioning standards, as well as giving you tools to create a more harmonious and sustainable home. Maria Soxbo, journalist and co-founder of the Climate Club, also gives a talk about how companies can strengthen their sustainable brand without losing their credibility.

If you are at the fair for more days than just Wednesday, you can on Tuesday learn more about how you develop your business. On Thursday trends are in focus, also with Frida Ramstedt on stage. During the last day of the fair you will receive tips on how to build your brand and how to spread it in the best possible way.
