Formex August 2023 – in numbers

22-25 of August, the second Formex fair of the year took place. For four days, buyers, agents, wholesalers, importers, designers and producers from the entire Nordic interior design and gift industry gather. Formex is a trade fair that is open to those who are active and wish to exhibit in the following areas: interior design, design, vintage, gifts, crafts, home textiles, garden, toys, baby and delicacies. In August, 393 companies exhibited at the fair.

We create a successful meeting
The goal of the Formex fair, in addition to doing business, is for everyone to feel inspired and gain new knowledge. To make it a reality, Formex invites the industry's most interesting speakers, designers and trend experts who create activities, events, exhibitions and competitions. At the fair in August 2023, Formex had 19 speakers on stage who together created 32 educational, inspiring and interesting talks.
During the fair one prize was awarded for Design Talents Best in Show (where unestablished designers are given the opportunity to exhibit). 
Before the fair, the Formex trend guide is produced for the coming season with a focus on three different trends, color maps and inspiration. The content is presented at the fair and the trend guide is distributed physically and digitally.
12 guest creators, companies and influencers were present during the fair and created exhibitions, the entrance square exhibition, design walks and selected their favorite products during the fair. All this to ensure that our visitors have the best possible experience. 9 663 visits were made to Formex in August 2023.

Before and during the fair, seven press releases were sent out and in total Formex was mentioned in print/web/radio 149 times, both nationally and internationally. Some of the media that mentioned Formex were SVT (Public service), TT News, Plaza interior and Expressen. The fair was visited by 255 journalists.

Communication channels
During the fair, is visited around 43,000 times. All year round, Formex communicates directly with its followers (166,000) in social media and via newsletters. Through additional campaigns and advertising in social media, Formex reaches out to the entire industry in the Nordics. Communication for Formex takes place all year round and at the start of a new fair, Formex advertises both nationally and internationally in industry media. Closer to the fair's implementation, communication with a visitor focus in a wider media is intensified.
