Formex Trends FW20/21

The world has come to an abrupt halt. We are forced to adapt to “the new normal”. Formex three trends take us to different idea worlds. New Now is Formex’s lead theme – having given us a real wake-up call, Mother Earth is depicted as a source of inspiration. Translucent is more introvert and discreet, with culture and craftsmanship as key cornerstones. At the other end of the scale stands the extrovert Dreamscape theme, vibrating with optimistic colors and life-affirming concepts.

During Summer Design Week (17-22 augusti) the trends will be presented in Volvo Studio Stockholm, in a trend exhibition - interpreted by stylist Tina Hellberg. If you are not in Stockholm, you can, during the fall, listen and watch Formex trend expert Lotta Ahlvar's digital trend talk. (18.19 and 20 August).

This autumn, a digital version of the trend guide will also be launched. Including color maps, materials and moodboards. 

Trend exhibition

Tina Hellberg will interpret our three themes in a trend exhibition in Volvo Studio Stockholm. She is one of Sweden’s most talented and experienced interior stylists, who works in close collaboration with major design clients - from Swedese and IKEA to Elle Decoration and Plaza Interiör.
