Bergs Potter ApS

We are in stand C05:20

Since 1942, Bergs Potter has been creating the pots your plants love. Our plant pots are designed in Denmark and handmade with love, from premium-quality Italian clay, at small, family-owned workshops in northern Italy. The clay is fired at very high temperatures, giving the pots a natural strength. A special finish on the saucers ensures that they are completely waterproof which makes our pots suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The high density of the clay means that the pots are frost resistant and the porosity of the untreated terracotta secures the pots’ ability to retain moisture and allow air to the roots, giving your plants the best possible conditions to grow and thrive.

Our glazed series features a colourful collection of indoor pots and vases. The inspiration of our timeless glazing palette is rooted in Scandinavia and is saturated with intense colour, accentuating the nuances between our different types of design. Each pot and vase is glazed the old-fashioned way, individually and by hand; and just like Berg’s raw pots – all made to last for generations to come.

  • NEW: Ada the adorning

New: Ada the Adorning ADA is the traditional name for ‘Adornment’.

And is there anything more adorning than flowers in bloom or an abundance of fresh herbs? ADA is a wheel-thrown dish that complements every possible shade of floral adornment.

With its soft organic shape, the ADA dish is the perfect base for herbs and flower bulbs, encouraging you to create a fragrant centrepiece of freshly grown herbs for a beautiful table setting. The dish is specially moulded to appeal to all our senses with nature’s own ornaments and aromas.

The dish comes with a saucer and therefore makes a perfect botanical decoration for any table, or an inviting seasonal decoration for the hallway console. ADA is able to hold both uncontrolled wildness and organic elegance – all at the same time. Link to the product »

  • NEW: Flora

New: Flora the Goddess The Flora pot has germinated from a love of plants and is our tribute to botanical craftsmanship. There’s no doubt that this pot and the flourishing plants within it will create a natural and heart-warming environment. We sculpted her with all our knowledge and love of plants – and the roots of her design can be traced back to the 1800s. FLORA’s simple design accentuates her contents, and is guaranteed to appeal to the keen botanist.

The name FLORA refers to the goddess of the same name, who in Roman mythology was the goddess of all plants, flowers, and fertility. Today, the name is often used to denote plant life in general or in connection with the famous comprehensive 18th-century Danish encyclopedia of botany – the Flora Danica. Link to the product »

  • NEW: Low Københavner Pot

New: Low Københavner pot The Københavner Pot is the first pot designed by Bergs Potter. There are three sizes available of the low Københavner Pot: 21 cm, 25 cm, and 30 cm, both in grey and rosa terracotta.  Link to the product »

  • Simona – LA PETITE FRANÇAISE –

Simona – La Petite Française Years ago, the romantic Simona Pot materialized in the head of Steffen Berg, as he strolled through busy and atmospheric flea markets in Montmartre. Now our charming and chic Simona Pot points to the aesthetics of the old Latin Quarter and can easily be imagined in the classic French homes and gardens of the 19th century.

Our sweet Parisian “femme” Simona has small pearls sitting neatly on a tight string along the upper rim. Adorned from every angle, she steps elegantly into the light, enhancing her beautiful and subtle details, ready to spread ‘amour’ everywhere she roams.

Today our petit ‘pot de fleur’ is gently shaped by the hands of our Tuscan potters.

Since Simona is like a classic girl of Montmartre, one might doubt her interest in deep, saturated colours, but look again, and you will find her more glowing than ever with the thick glaze enhancing all her details. Mon amour, je t’aime! Link to the product »

  • Elizabeth - THE EVERYDAY QUEEN

Elizabeth - The Everyday Queen Elizabeth: A queen of grace and glory! And yet, this regal woman has also stood fast against storms after more than half a century on the throne.

Like the queen, this pot is durable and adorned with elegance. Gothic arches embellish its sides and form a bold crown when the pot is turned upside down.

The Elizabeth Pot is made as a tribute to all women, everyday queens who sail into headwinds with pride, grace, and strength. Link to the product »

  • Julie - LESS IS MORE

Julie - Less is More When the designer Ninetta Mariani created the Julie Pot, she exclaimed: “It can’t be done simpler than this!” This was in Milan in 1960, and today we can only concur. Perfection is achieved when there is nothing left to take away from a design. In this simple yet charming pot, your plant will always be the centre of attention.

Our largest Julie Pots are wheel-thrown and stamped by hand – persistently preserving an ancient craft.

Julie, our timeless classic, is also available in a glazed guise. We have preserved the simple and minimalistic lines we all adore. The glaze, saturated in the intense Emerald Green colour, accentuates the geometrical look and adds a slightly playful dimension that catches the eye. Link to the product »
